Knitwear

A contemporary wardrobe does not have to be a particularly large one if it is well curated and synchronized with every garment earning its place. High quality knitwear can easily act as the link that ties the casual and the formal wardrobe together, creating a greater whole.

Finding great knitwear that fits, however, is more easily said than done. Due to the production process (read more below), Atelier Saman Amel’s knitwear program is available as "long", "regular" and "short" in our online shop.

Atelier Saman Amel essentially works on a “single unit production” basis. This implies that all Atelier Saman Amel knitwear garments are produced once an order has been placed and not before then.

Apart from minimizing the negative environmental aspects that comes with dead stock, this enable us to have a greater product offering while also being able to make customizations to each knitwear garment produced. Single unit production does imply a delivery time of around four weeks. However, if it is great, it is worth waiting for.

All Atelier Saman Amel knitwear products are made in Italy.

As Atelier Saman Amel is working on a single unit production basis, you can choose from three different sizing blocks – long, short or regular. This implies that each and every size (for example size 50 or 52) comes in three different versions for you to find your perfect fit.

The knitwear program is also available as made-to-measure where a totally unique fit is made for the client. Made-to-measure knitwear is available in the Stockholm atelier as well as during trunk shows as it requires a physical meeting.

High quality knitwear can easily act as the link connecting your formal wardrobe and your casual wardrobe. Finding knitwear that fits, however, is more easily said than done. As a complement to our in house made-to-measure knitwear program, we have updated our Amo knitwear line in order for every customer online to find a size that truly fits.

For each and every style in our Amo knitwear collection we have added a “short” and “long” alternative in addition to our standard “regular” sizing. The sizing alteration is fairly easy. By choosing “short” the garment is made 2cm shorter on the body length and 1,5cm shorter on the sleeve length. On the contrary, by choosing “long” the garment is made 2cm longer on the body length and 1,5cm on the sleeve length.

Wool Knitwear Care Instructions
- Turn the sweater inside out
- Hand wash cold
- Dry flat
- Do not tumble dry
- Iron at low temperature, 110 C
- Do not use softener

Detailed Wash Instructions
- Generally we suggest avoiding washing the Atelier Saman Amel wool garments as mush as possible. The wool fiber does not retain odors after use to the same extent as cotton or synthetic qualities and will hence stay fresh without washing. Airing the garment out regularly usually does the trick.

- If washing is needed, make sure to turn the garment inside out and wash it in cold water with detergent for delicates, by hand. Carefully squeeze the water out of the garment without wringing or stretching. After doing so, discard all water, and refill the tub with clean water and wash out all detergent from the garment, make sure to do this process 2-3 times in order to get all of the detergent out from the garment. If you machine wash, use hand wash cycle.

- After carefully squeezing out most of the water, lay the garment on a towel on a flat surface and let it air dry. If hung on a hanger, the garment will loose it's shape dramatically due to the extra weight added from the moist.

- If ironing is needed, turn the garment inside out and spray the garment with water, we recommend to have a damp cloth between when ironing. Iron the garment gently.

- As a rule, do not use fabric softener, since it creates a coating on the fibers and reduces the fiber's ability to breath and naturally manage moisture.
